Grub control is an application that is a MUST HAVE for anyone seriously interested in the look of their lawn. White grubs are the larvae of Japanese beetles, June beetles, or masked chafer beetles. If your grass turns brown and pulls up easily in July and August, your grass may be infested with grubs.
Grubs cause damage to lawns by feeding on the roots of grass. Grubs are also the natural food for moles. Moles are one of the fastest ways to destroy an otherwise healthy lawn. Surface feeders can open wounds in the leaf of the grass and make it more prone to disease.
Grub controls are most effective on immature grubs. For most species and our location this means June or July is the prime time to treat with an insecticide.
