Manufacturer warranties can vary substantially in duration and coverage, so we recommend you research the warranties provided by the manufacturer and factor that into your purchasing decision. Some things we recommend our customers to consider:
1. Service Centers - we are a full service center for every piece of motorized equipment we carry. In fact, the brands we carry generally have extensive dealer networks. Many brands found in large discount or box stores have few or no service center foot print. Buying your equipment at Arco provides you many benefits, but we do not provide any warranty on the products we sell beyond what the manufacturer covers.
2. Warranty Periods - the length of the manufacturer's warranty varies by model and the use. Generally, the residential use warranty length is what is advertised. If you're planning to use equipment commercially, be sure to read the details or ask one of our sales associates for information. Commercial use of residential equipment often has no warranty or a very short warranty.
3. Covered Failures - most manufacturers cover parts and labor on defects in parts or workmanship for some period of time. Some manufacturers reduce the coverage (e.g., parts only) after an initial period. Wear and maintenance items such as: belts, tires, blades, filters, lubricants, consumables, etc. are not covered unless as a victim part.
4. Coverage Exclusions - Manufactures do not cover costs for transportation, rentals, shop supplies, down time, etc. In fact, they usually specifically exclude these things, so be sure to have a plan in place for an unexpected equipment failure.
